Welcome to the US Youth Fly Fishing Team, Inc. website.  The USYFFT is an amateur sports team, dedicated to the development of a distinguished and skilled fly-fishing team that proudly represents the United States in FIPS-Mouche sanctioned national and international championships each year.  In 2011, the USYFFT represented the
United States in Italy for the 10th FIPS-Mouche World Championships. Team USA won the gold medal, and brought the honor home. Team USA has distinguished itself at
every event in which it has competed: 4th place in Slovakia in 2010, and 7th place in 2009 in the Czech Republic.  FIPS-Mouche, the world sanctioning body for competitive fly fishing has well defined rules of competition. All fishing is "catch and release." Anglers fish five different sessions of three hours each, all on different rivers and beats of water. Scoring is based on the number and size of fish caught.

The USYYFT is a non-profit, 501(c)3 charitable organization that relies entirely on the generosity of individuals, family, friends, groups, organizations and corporations.
The organization holds clinics for young anglers to learn about competitive fly fishing, and sponsors participation in domestic and international competitions.
