(2010)

Averill Park, NY

Andrew Loffredo, 17, is currently a junior at La Salle Institute in Troy, New York.  He began fishing at the age of 3, at a local lake and at his grandmother’s house on the banks of St. Lawrence River where he fished for bass, and pike. He taught himself how to fly fish at the age of 12 and has been tying flies since the age of 13. He mainly fishes small freestone streams for brook and brown trout and has fished many larger waters such as the Hoosic River, NY, The Housatonic River, MA, and the Merced and Tuolumne Rivers in California. Other activities include varsity hockey, clay Shooting, and fishing and tying with friends.

He looks forward to fishing with fellow members of Fly Fishing Team USA. He looks forward to learning new techniques from teammates, Coach Williams and the entire coaching staff.

Andrew would like to recognize his parents, cousins Greg and Chris Berardi, Dan Marini, Bill Doyle and the Coaching staff for their fishing wisdom and help, and he hopes to become increasingly better in this upcoming year.
