Justin Lyons

Uniontown, PA.

 

Justin Lyons is 16, a sophomore attending Geibel Catholic High School and a 2009 Graduate of Dale Carnegie, Effective Communications and Human Relations, Pittsburgh PA.

Justin is a Seven Springs Mountain Resort Fly Fishing Guide and a Hook & Hackle Pro Staff Member. An active member of Federation of Fly Fishers and Trout Unlimited, he has initiated the first Trout in the Classroom program in his school which includes fly casting instruction. Fly-fishing is his passion; he has been fishing for thirteen years. Justin is an avid fly tier and a dedicated all season angler. 

He frequently can be found pursuing trout and other species on Meadow Run, Confluence, Youghiogheny River, Little Juniata, Spring Creek, Big Fishing Creek and Laurel Hill. In the fall and winter Justin also fishes on Elk, Walnut Creek and Twenty Mile.

Justin is continually developing his skills and techniques through the expertise and relentless efforts of his coaches, instructors, fellow team members and mentors.

His competition circuit for 2009 began in May with the Eastern Trials in State College, Pennsylvania. August 2009, Mid-Western Trials in Nye, Montana and October 2009, The United States TEAM USA, Adult Nationals in State College, Pennsylvania with Team Colorado.

Justin is honored to be a member of the 2010 United States Youth Fly Fishing Team and is focused on assisting his Team members bring home the gold from Slovakia this August.
