Matt Rose

Matt was born 18 years ago in Florida with a fishing rod in his hand and fished beside his Dad in Tampa Bay for snook and reds. While visiting in Wytheville, VA at the age of 12, Matt met his mentor, Richard Formato, who introduced him to fly fishing. When Matt is not fishing or tying flies, he can be found playing varsity soccer or working as a soccer referee in Florida. 
Matt was a member of the 2007 TEAM USA 2 that competed in the FIPS Mouche World Youth Fly Fishing Tournament in State College, PA. In 2008, Matt competed in Portugal in the FIPS Mouche World Youth Fly Fishing Tournament. Matt also competed in the 2008 America Cup in Frisco, Colorado.
