Owen Welch

Owen Welch is 16 years old and has always loved the outdoors and being near the water. He found his passion for fishing early at the age of four. He later got his start of fly tying and fishing through a local parks and recreational summer camp program. Since then he works on developing his skill by practicing on many lakes and streams within Pennsylvania. Owen is a member of the Penns Creek Chapter of Trout Unlimited where he gains additional knowledge of the sport through its many active members. He also participates in his school’s fly fishing club. When you cannot find Owen on the water, he is in the water as a competitive swimmer. This is Owen’s second year on the team, but his first year as a traveling member.
