Will Travis

(2008 - 2009)

Dana Point, CA

Will is a rising high school senior and honors student from Dana Point, California.  Living on the coast, Will spends a lot of time fishing the surf and harbors of Southern California as well as the rivers and lakes of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. 

Will is a skilled fly tyer and has many accomplishments under his belt.  Will regularly demonstrates his skills at numerous fly fishing shows around the country, including the international Federation of Fly Fishers Conclave in Livingston, MT.  In 2005, Will was the Junior Fly Tyer of the Year for the Southern Section of the FFF.

As well as being an avid fly fisherman and fly tyer, Will is a captain of his high school varsity Cross Country team and a varsity wrestler and pole-vaulter.  When Will is not fishing he can be found either running local mountain trails or skim boarding at the beach with friends.

Will would like to thank his grandfather, uncle, and great friends in the fly fishing world who have helped him learn, travel, and catch a lot of fish.  He is looking forward to bringing home a medal from the Czech Republic with the team.
